Before we storage the battery for a long time, we should insist on whether the battery has expanded or deformed. If there is expansion or deformation, the battery has begun to damage, we should stop using it.
Although lithium ion batteries have many advantages, they are particularly sensitive to extreme low and high temperatures. When the lithium-ion battery pack is overheated or supercooled due to environmental factors or charging and discharging, its performance and service life will be greatly reduced. As a guide, do not charge if the temperature exceeds the range of 10-35ºC. The storage temperature of lithium batteries should be between 10 and 30ºC, and should not be directly exposed to the sun. It is recommended to put the battery in a PVC box or metal box and don't keep connecting gloves or clothes.
Even if the lithium-ion battery is not used, its power will be slowly lost. What we have to do is not let the battery run out completely. In order to avoid the battery discharging completely, we should charge the battery to about 50% before storage, which takes about 1 hour. Then charge it every five or six months. If the battery can't start the device, it doesn't mean that the battery is completely dead. When the power is very low, the battery power can't start the device. At this time, we should charge your battery. Of course, even if you don't, the battery can still be used after a long period of charging. My suggestion is in order to better delay the service life of the battery.
We uses the heated gloves or heated clothes for the first time in winter, it is not recommended to charge at temperatures below 10ºC.
If the battery is no longer used due to damage, for the sake of environmental protection, I suggest recycling according to the local government requirements.
